You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
www.thehypnosisroom.com is my professional associate site. You can reach me for private sessions at 416-871-1677. I offer reduced rates to TPRP members.
Learn Self Hypnosis, NLP, Progressive Muscle Relaxation and learn about the mind body connection, for about $20 an hour!!!!!!!
You can learn to address any number of health and 'existential' concerns in a way that is safe, empowering, fun and most of all organic , -ie no drugs or surgery required. There is in the last decade a renewed interest in illiminating ways to work with natural systems. Hypnosis is simply a way to work with the larger brain, mostly because it encapsulates 'non dual' awareness. There is no seperation in a non dual state and therefore no 'otherness, no fear, no conflict, no death, no pain, no anxiety, etc.
All cultures strive for 'non dual' experiences: meditation, circuit parties, running, sex, extreme sports, yoga, are all various attempts at locating 'non dual' states of awareness. Athletes, mystics, artists, and entertainers all speak of these glimpses into the 'non dual' world where there is no separation between the sense of self and other.
You are bound to learn and 'experience' something new with each class.
On a somewhat more practical level, If you consider what the true costs are of being a smoker, of being overweight, of not being able to sleep, this is a 'valid solution' that just makes sense.
Rotating Monthly themes: The text I'm using for the material is Melvin Konner's 'The Tangled Wing": Biological Constraints on the Human Spirit. You can likely find a copy in a used bookstore. Konner has a remakable knack for teasing out all kinds of references and associations related to a particular theme, using scientific data to show how humans 'experience' these subjects in kinaesthetic, culturally specific, linguistic, auditory, visual and other ways. It's a way to 'jog the brain awak' about how habits are formed and how to break them, and to get it thinking in novel ways.
